Recipe Formatting Guidelines

NOTE: If you choose to CUT and PASTE from another document, you may have formatting issues. I experienced this with another contributer and we discovered that it was better just to retype the recipe in the blog post.

In an effort to make the "shared" recipes easy to follow and useful please use the following formatting guidelines:
  1. Put the recipe name in the Title of the post and in the Label entry box (at the bottom of the post dialog box). Don't worry if there is another recipe with the same name, because a click on that recipe will bring up all posts for recipes of that name.
  2. If you have a picture of the prepared food item, you can upload it into the post using the Insert Image link (looks like a picture at the top of the post dialog box).
  3. Also, if you have a "story" that accompanies your recipe, add it after the image.
  4. Next, list the ingredients as you might see them in a recipe book. Remember that a uppercase T is for tablespoon and lowercase t for teaspoon. Feel free to add other helpful measurement information.
  5. Then add assembly and cooking directions.
  6. Finally please add health or weight management information such as serving size, ounces, calories, protein, carb/sugars, fat and fiber OR points if you know them.
Important! You cannot directly upload a .pdf or .doc file to a post or to the blog. In Google blogger you must create a online storage file for these types of documents. If you have a file you would like to place on the blog, you can send it to me (Guin) to upload or use a program like Dropbox.

NOTE: You can use the formatting tools in the post dialog box to adjust the font size and type and other formatting options.
